Originally painted green, the planer was built to perform for long durations in the most challenging environments. Demand for these machines grew and the legend of POWERMATIC was born. The power of POWERMATIC soon became known as the gold standard in woodworking for its tremendous performance and durability. It would only be in the years to come that the exterior of each machine reflect its interior gold excellence.

The POWERMATIC name has lasted for more than 85 years and its products are built to last for the future generations. The innovative features incorporated into each machine have earned them numerous awards and countless outstanding reviews.

WOODMAN

Woodman is a brand of Machinery mostly imported from Taiwan. In Australia there are a number of companies that import the Woodman brand forming the Woodman Group. Gregory Machinery are part of the Woodman Group in Brisbane, while the other members are based in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

The thing that makes the Woodman brand different to other machinery imported from Taiwan or China, is that the machinery is hand picked and inspected by Gregory Machinery themselves. Our experienced staff visits the factories and inspects the machinery in the line of production. It is then that a decision is made to import the machinery on the quality, reliability and value of the machine as well as the quality and reliability of the manufacturer.

Once a new Woodman product has been introduced to Gregory Machinery they are then tested again in our work shop by our technical and electrical staff.

PAOLONI

In 1955, near San Marino, Italy, PAOLONI & MANZINI joined forces to start the production of machinery for the Italian woodworking manufacturer. They narrowed their market to the small-to-medium size operation. Both product and market sector were the right decision for the startup company: In the 1960s they were exporting their machinery abroad and were developing a solid reputation for reliable equipment at an attractive price.

With 1982, the 17 year old company introduced changes to their line which separated PAOLONI MACCHINE from other manufacturers. They produced the first carriage-type End Tenoners for panels which later expanded up to five different versions. Thereafter they enhanced their Moulders, included numeric controls for their Panel Saws and developed 23 different versions of their Calibrating Sanders.

The company begins deep changes and modification in the course of the years, from simple machine shop, it gets specialised in the production of multifunction machines, answering to the market challenge in the 60’s.

With the generation renewal, Sante Facchini comes to make part of the company and Paoloni Machine goes on ambitiously with its ascent : passion and enterprise courage are transforming the small craft company into a real industry with no limit.
