Bench GrindersA grinding machine uses an abrasive wheel as a cutting tool to shape or change the dimensions of a hard material. The wheels, which can vary in size, are generally made from a manufactured abrasive such as silicone carbide or aluminium oxide. A wire brush wheel or buffing wheels can be interchanged with the grinding wheels in order to clean or polish work-pieces Bench grinders are generally manually operated machines that have two wheels. Each wheel is likely to have different grain sizes, which are used for roughing and finishing. These machines are commonly used to shape tools in need of repair, such as tool bits. They are also used to shape metal that needs to be welded. The white wheels that are sometimes found on bench grinders are typically made of aluminium oxide. This material renews itself as it is being used. It has a reduced chance of overheating and clogs less frequently. The disadvantage, however, is that aluminium oxide wheels must be replaced more often. |

Woodman is a brand of Machinery mostly imported from Taiwan. In Australia there are a number of companies that import the Woodman brand forming the Woodman Group. Gregory Machinery are part of the Woodman Group in Brisbane, while the other members are based in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
The thing that makes the Woodman brand different to other machinery imported from Taiwan or China, is that the machinery is hand picked and inspected by Gregory Machinery themselves. Our experienced staff visits the factories and inspects the machinery in the line of production. It is then that a decision is made to import the machinery on the quality, reliability and value of the machine as well as the quality and reliability of the manufacturer.
Once a new Woodman product has been introduced to Gregory Machinery they are then tested again in our work shop by our technical and electrical staff.
